Silent Auction

Our Flyway Festival friends continue to contribute the most fabulous gifts, services and art for you to bid on. By bidding you can take some of the credit for helping to ensure that our festival remains FREE!

The Flyway Festival Silent Auction and Raffle grows each year, thanks to the generosity of our neighbors, friends and visiting exhibitors and vendors; the auction is a great way for them to support the Festival and for you to get great buys and support the Festival, too.

Check back frequently to this page in the weeks leading up the Festival weekend to preview our auction items grouped by “regional neighborhoods”, starting with the Carneros wine-grape growing region, Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley, Benicia, Vallejo and Exhibitors and Friends. We’ve listed a few of the many silent auction items here, so you can start shopping early; although there are many more items donated than we can showoff on the website.

Silent Auction and Raffle Hours
The silent auction begins at the Friday evening Festival and Art Opening Reception and continues through late afternoon Sunday. Every year the range of great gifts and services donated grows in number and quality. We hope that you will find just the right wine or the best pair of binoculars or the greatest gift item and make a winning bid. When you do, you help ensure that this great informational and fun-filled Festival remains FREE!

The Flyway Festival really hosts 3 auctions: We close the first phase of the silent auction and raffle on Saturday afternoon. Then, we replenish for Sunday and reopen the silent auction and raffle for that day, holding our big-ticket items over for bidding on both days. That way, you have a chance to invest in the Flyway Festival and win something special both days. A separate silent auction of North Bay Wetlands Paintout Plein Aire Art will take place in the Art Exhibition Hall during the hours of the Festival, closing late Sunday afternoon.

If you don’t want to hover ‘round your auction bid sheet throughout the day, we offer a simple solution. A slam dunk, let’s you buy your desired item(s) on the spot for a fair price that we set, write your check, pay your cash(directions to the ATM location on Mare Island–southeast corner of Walnut Ave and Kansas St.–will be posted  nearby) or give us your credit card information and you can walk out the door with it, right then and there!

North Bay Wetlands Paintout Plein Aire Art Auction

Sabina Yates
Our North Bay Wetlands Paintout Plein Aire Art Auction features art that will be painted the weekend before the Festival in a “paintout” in which artists paint on the clock and the work is framed and ready for your bid during the Festival. Click here for information on the Paintout and Call for Art. Proceeds of this auction go directly to the artists. We are privileged to attract some of the most well regarded artists on the San Francisco Bay’s “north shore”. Here’s a chance to pickup their art before the paint has even had a chance to dry!
